Independent travel information

Our city guides, stories and suggested itineraries are general information, not personalised legal, immigration, financial or safety advice. We aim to research, fact-check and update information, but opening hours, prices, transport, availability and entry rules can change. Confirm important details with official sources before travelling or paying.

Trip planning and bookings

The trip-planning controls currently take you to the existing EU city-selection page with your selected preferences. They do not generate a day-by-day itinerary, reserve accommodation, book flights or process payment. Auto and Manual are preference selections for this exploration flow. Third-party bookings are governed by the provider’s terms, not these website terms.

Fair use and intellectual property

You may read and share links to our guides for personal use. Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, copy our branding to mislead others, or republish editorial content without permission or a lawful exception. Touristic branding and editorial material remain the property of their respective owners.

Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons photos carry their own licences. Follow the photo-credit links to verify each creator, licence and reuse requirements; those licences are not replaced by these terms.

External links and advertising

External sites are operated independently. A link is not a guarantee of their services, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. If Google AdSense ads are introduced, they must be identified as advertising. An ad is not an editorial recommendation, and advertiser purchases are agreements with the advertiser.

Messages and subscriptions

Contact and newsletter forms open an email draft. You must send that email to deliver the request. Opening a draft does not confirm a subscription. Do not send unlawful content or information you are not entitled to share. Marketing consent can be withdrawn by contacting us.

Responsibility and your rights

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every guide will always be current. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. You remain responsible for travel decisions and for checking official travel and safety advice.

Applicable law and changes

Portuguese law applies, without removing mandatory protections available to consumers under the law of their country of residence. These terms do not limit any mandatory right to bring a claim in a competent court. We may update these terms as the site changes; the date above identifies the current version.
